The info on Sky News HD, Sky Sports News HD and Disney Channel HD testing in Virgin Media areas was from an post from Asian Channel 1st posted on August 28th on Digital Spy.
But I have been told by Virgin Viewers that both FOX + and Disney HD will appear soon on Virgin TV.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 4.
It now makes sense as to why MTV Classic wasn't added with the other Viacom channels, because I'm sure it's cheaper to port the channel over than it is to pay two bills, one for each company

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 4.
Interesting that the closure of Radio Caroline is mentioned, & Peter Moore's comments make interesting reading as regard to Sky's attitude to receiving channels without an EPG slot on their boxes. So much for Sky having an 'open' platform.
...we decided to take an Sky EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) but this did not give the expected increase in either listeners or advertisers and it was costing a fortune so we gave that up.
All we wanted to do was to revert to manual tuning as before. It was not known by us, nor our provider, that Sky had hardened their attitude to non EPG signals. We found that no Sky SD boxes would get our signal at all. Sky had nil interest in sending a software signal to make the boxes hear us. Then we found that each time they sent a general update to the HD boxes, this wiped the stored memory so that the listener had to go through the tuning process all over again and again....

I don't think it means they're just going to re broadcast the Ireland feed, just that they're going to aim for channel parity with UPC. It'll still be two deals and two bills, I'm sure. There would be rights issues otherwise.

If you have a DVB-C Compliant TV you can hook your Virgin Cable into it and they can show up that way, but it breaks Virgin T&Cs
