Netflix or SKY Atlantic?

We've seen some exciting news in the past 24 hours regarding Netflix launching on TiVo.

If you had the choice of Netflix or SKY Atlantic, being included at no extra cost in XL or VIP, what would you rather have?

I think most already know the kind of programming on SKY Atlantic however Netflix do offer some great exclusive programming too. House of Cards, Orange is the new Black, Arrested Development, Hemlock Grove and Bad Samaritans are just some of the Netflix "originals" with so much more planned in the coming months.

I enjoy SKY Atlantic, and I enjoy Netflix however if I had to chose one I'd have to go with Netflix just because it offers so much more. Movies, original programming and hundreds of boxsets.

Do not have TiVo so I would love to see SKY Atlantic launching.

Already have Netflix via tablet etc, so its SA for me as there are some very good American imports on there.

Re: Netflix or SKY Atlantic?

If I had a Tivo box it would be a tough call as I do really enjoy the content that Sky Atlantic offers but at the same time Netflix does have a good mix of original programming and quality boxsets. I would probably lean towards Netflix in that case just because of the volume of content.

However as I dont have nor have any plans to get a Tivo box i'll go for Atlantic.

Amazes me the amount of people who haven't got a TiVo box.

Re: Netflix or SKY Atlantic?

Given your bit about 'no extra cost', then Netflix is the better value.

OTOH, Netflix is available at a very reasonable extra cost. Sky Atlantic isn't available at all unless you have Sky.

So, it would be Atlantic for me, despite Netflix offering the better value.

The pole is about it being included in the package not just having the app.

Re: Netflix or SKY Atlantic?

Netflix included in the XL package? nope.
Netflix should be available as an app for ALL customers, even the 'free' TV M.

A subscription within a subscription just doesn't sit well with me

Apologies if I'm being thick but I don't understand your point here. How is this different to things like BT Sports, Sky Sports and Movies being included in some of the packs. Aren't they "subscriptions within subscriptions" in the same way? Especially when you take into account the on demand content on things like Sky movies.

So you wouldn't want it free with your subscription?
