It's not very good, like cardboard cut outs, doesn't have any depth/shape.

A lot of people do like it, I have a few mates who enjoy watching 3D but I'm not one for gimmicks, prefer to watch in 2D without the need for glasses!

Re: 3D showing on Sky Sports HD 1 TiVo banner

I have a 3D TV and SKY 3D. I don't tend to watch too much in 3D if being honest however it always goes down well when friends and family are round. I hosted Christmas dinner this year. After a few drinks we all gathered around the TV with the specs on to watch a 3D dinosaur program on the BBC. It was a real coming together moment. I know it sounds cheesy but we had a blast.

3D TV is enjoyed in moderation. A treat every now and again. As a boxing fan I'd like to see more boxing in 3D. Froch Vs. Mack in 3D was simply amazing. When punching one another, the sweat was flaying off the screen!

It's funny you should mention that. Whenever my nephew visits he can't get enough 3D. I recorded Spiderman 3D, The Avengers 3D and Thor 3D for him. He'd watch them all day if he could.

The 3d dinasour program at Christmas was great considering it was sbs, for the best 3D effect you need it on blu-ray with active specs, the avengers, oz the great and powerful and life of pi where really good, some others which are usually converts are a waste of time.

Your missing out then. Just sat down and watched Star Trek into darkness in 3D. Wow what a showcase production for the format. Best 3D i've seen yet. My son was blown away. I defy anyone to watch this in 3D with a Sony W9 TV and not be impressed.
