Spurs sign yet another player - we are going to blow Arsenal out of the water.

I see Chelski kept up their impressive scoring rate, 7 yellows and one red.

I do think its a shame that genuine football fans from England cant wish the best for English sides when they are playing in Europe.

Bookmark this for when you finish 5th again. Better yet, I hope you finish 4th and Arsenal finish 5th but win the Champions League.

I've no doubt most of us wouldn't. It's the modern mentality where most think "If we can't win then we don't want any other English team to". Up until the English ban in the 80's I can honestly remember watching and cheering on every English/British team in Europe. Since the ban ended, and the arrival of the Sky TV influence of having so much football available to us all, it's gone even more tribal than it ever was.

I disagree. I support other teams. But that doesn't stop me enjoying the opposition too. UK team plays, I generally watch. If they play a big team, I enjoy both teams. If opposition plays well, I enjoy that that.
And yes, if man utd lose, I enjoy it. But more for it being a surprising result, as those type of games interest everyone. I would react the same if it happened to Barcelona, Madrid etc
I try not to worry what others think of my team(s). I am often a harsher critic at times.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
That's fair enough colin. Don't get me wrong, I watch any match I can, and generally enjoy them all in one way or another. Take City today, I'll chuckle if they don't win, but I need them to batter Hull for the benefit of my various fantasy teams!. With the european games we need our teams to do reasonably well to keep up the good UEFA coefficient we have. It's just that when it gets to a game that's more important than others, some attitudes towards your rivals change. I'll happily admit that's what happens to me, right or wrong.

Summed up perfectly Colin as City are at sixes and sevens here and have been very lucky not to be 2-0 down.
