3D showing on Sky Sports HD 1 TiVo banner

Anyone else seeing this? On Sky Sports HD1 when you press for info it shows as Monday night football, new, 3D. Also says three D in the narrative description off the programme.

I've (hopefully) attached a photo so you can see what I mean.

Photo round the wrong way but you can see what I mean lol

Re: 3D showing on Sky Sports HD 1 TiVo banner

I don't reckon it'll be long then. This is what they did with BT Sport - loads of little "mistakes" like information on the website that a deal had been concluded in advance of the actual announcement and showing the test channels on the TV Anywhere page the day before the actual launch.

After all, that simply cannot be an error. Somebody at Virgin, TiVo or Tribune will have actually had to create that metadata tag.

Well rumours say more 'Sky' channels may launch by mid September so maybe Sky 3D will be part of the deal.

I'm sure one of our resident Virgin employees can clear this one up. Mistake or no mistake?

Thanks for flipping it, I did look rather odd when I had held my laptop sideways at first :P
I doubt it's a mistake, but is it too good to be true?

Also "Three D" instead of "3D" hmm? :P

Re: 3D showing on Sky Sports HD 1 TiVo banner

If Sky 3D does launch, the only package it could really go in would be VIP Collection, this is the only way to guarantee all the content is available in non-3D mode.

You'd need Sports and Movies obviously but you need to also have XL Pack for the HD counterparts of Sky 1 etc for the entertainment!

Asked the question on Facebook vm page, this was my reply

Hey Howard, this is a mistake on our part. Apologies for this, it's been fed back and we'll get it removed for next time around. - Josh

I love the VM "mistakes"! They are like little coded hints for us all!

Re: 3D showing on Sky Sports HD 1 TiVo banner

The data is provided by Tribune not VM. It's obviously been a mistake. They make plenty of them (NEW tags agains not new items, or missing from new items)
