I move around the security industry a lot and naturally I'm subject to 5 year history checks. I've suddenly been asked to provide a letter of unemployment from the job centre and evidence I attended college for a 2 week period in 2008.
The unemployment letter is easy enough but the college have replied once and never said a thing since. I've been told if it falls flat on its face i can pay a solicitor to verify gaps and things in my employment. Has anyone dealt with this stuff before and can a solicitor actually provide such service? I have till the 30th to address this.

Received both today, College apparently sent it weeks ago.
I still have at least a year gap in my unemployment that needs accounted for though, going to use the Solicitor route on Tuesday and see how that goes.
