V+ Selling equipment

Someone is trying to sell a VM V box and seems to think she bought it off Amazon.

She also says

"would you like to now also go to IF you have provided your own equipment as virgin wouldnt replace the one u have.. as after one year of renting the equipment(if u should have theres) IT BECOMES YOURS and you have no right to have it replaced"

I assumed you always hire the equipment no matter what.

Can anyone clear this up?

Yes, all TV STBs remain VM's property, no matter what, and you can't supply your own.

It's Sky where you can supply your own compatible box and just get Sky to send you a viewing card, or where you own the one Sky provide after a year.

Someone needs to go to the carboot at the Dewsbury Rams as their are people selling the boxes there with the viewing card and remote.
