Was never in doubt BT would come but I comend the effort they did to secure it for free on same terms as original ESPN, that for me is excellent but anything less would have still not satisfied all people

so to all sky viewers in the words of the great Delia Smith, Where are you? lets be having you (back on Virgin)

or we could us the line of "Where are you now, your boys have taken one hell of a beating"

But I know better not to under estimate Sky, Im sure their next move is just a day away as always

I'm so glad that all this subterfuge surrounding BT Sport has come to an end.

For those who are not on XL or who won't be subscribing, that want to see some of the football that BT Sport has the rights to, all is not lost.

BT are currently in talks with ITV with a view to selling them the rights to show some matches Free To Air on one of the ITV channels

Now that the VM negotiations are complete, BT is also talking to Talk Talk. Expect an announcement very soon to complete distribution of BT Sport to all major platforms in the UK.

Couldn't believe it when I saw them on the EPG, had to check it wasn't some free promotion! Well done VM, never doubted you for a moment....honest

Ironically, yesterday I printed a new list of channels for my family after the UKTV changes, and I said "I bet now I've printed this that BT will appear tomorrow"!

Although now that BT and VM have made this deal, I can't see Sky being willing to let VM have Atlantic now.

After the steady erosion of the XL/VIP TV package over the last months I'm really pleased to see some of the lost value of the XL/VIP TV pack being put back - at least for the sports fans. Well done Virgin Media, take a bow.

Now, if only there was some equally good news for the non sports fans (I'm thinking here of Sky Atlantic and maybe Sky Bravo or whatever it's going to end up as). Too much to hope for?
