Why would you say that?
If the choice were that or not getting it all, what would you prefer? As a customer you at least then have free choice between all three platforms, and can do the sums according to what meets your needs.
Not having any particular interest in PL football, I don't see subsidising this out of XL subs beyond the level of ESPN as being any sort of priority when there are still other things missing from the package. If BT started showing other sports we were interested in, maybe we might choose to pay.
It is important for the VM platform that customers have as full as possible a choice of content - that doesn't mean everybody has to subsidise providing premium content 'free', however slick a marketing ploy this might seem to be.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 4.
Sorry, was not meaning to be antagonistic, just trying to a) inject some humour (poor judgement) and then b) just trying to answer another post. I know many people do want Sky Atlantic. I personally do not think it is worth all the hype. Yes they many new shows, but it does not mean all of them are good. A lot of my friends do not watch many of them now.
Yes, all channels show copious repeats with which I have no problem, I just think for all the hype the channel channel gets, it should have less repeats and more original content than it does. These are just my views on the channel.
Jameseh, Comedy Central and Alibi, are specialist channels aimed at people who like crime shows or non-stop comedy, as you will be aware. They do show new content on a regular basis too, probably not as many hours as Sky Atlantic granted, but these are specialist channels and will only show a certain type of show.
I have said many times before that I do not care for Sky Atlantic and would prefer any money spent to go elsewhere (a few HD variants would please me more.) I will happy for those that want it, if VM ever get it though.
I am sorry if these views have offended or continue to offend anyone.
Mod's given my stance on Young_Timbo, if people feel I have stepped over the line, please feel free to take retrospective action.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 4.
I don't see it happening myself but that's just my opinion , the whole BT Sport deal is BT want people back on their network with phone and BB/fibre that way when there house is in order with their tv product they can begin to upsell products and strengthen their triple play offering.
There TV offering will continue to grow with more Internet TV channels to be added.

Just for your list MB, I don't think the Sky Movies 007 is being branded Superhero, it's going to return to Greats, but just play superhero movies

I know, but I don't think they are changing the channel name, just returning it to Sky Movies Greats and playing superhero films. The VM website just says "a day of superhero films" and Sky have said nothing
