I think it's telling that the old ESPN streams haven't been taken down within the usual timescale for removed/closed channels as ESPN Classic and ESPN America were.

This was kind of implied to me when I was contacted by the ceo's office but I promised not to shout about it,now others are saying it I feel I can.
This along with a excellent discount was the reason I stayed also expect to see the hd channels that are missing that are shown in Ireland soon and dare I say it.?????
Sky Atlantic in autum, none of this is guaranteed but it was certainly implied that all of these things could expected to happen.
AGAIN NOT CONFIRMED but hopefully the great MB will confirm in future posts

A shopping channel called Buy What You Don't Need, and the +1 version.
The other 2 channels are probably shopping knowing our luck. Actually, its Virgin so the other 2 channels testing don't even exist.

to be honest it's very poor that what are considered Freeview channels are not automatically added anyway.

SKY Atlantic was up and running for 2 years before I joined SKY. So many of the shows exclusive to the channel where already into their 3rd and 4th season.
The repeats have helped me catch up with some great shows from the very start. If and when the channel launches on Virgin Media, those new to the channel will find the repeats incredibly useful.
If it wasn't for the repeats I'd have never gotten into shows like The Borgias, Boardwalk Empire and Blue Bloods.
Admittedly the channel isn't terribly awash with brand new episodes of shows each and every night, but I do take in about 3 or 4 hours worth of shows from the channel each week. It doesn't sound like much but I only watch TV a few hours per day.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 4.
Not really news, I suppose, but was on the phone to VM to downgrade services and was told that due to ESPN going, they are hoping to get BT Sports onto TV XL, but don't know what's happening. No intention to stop me changing, just an off the cuff remark.

I did say "much like 95% of Sky Atlantic". I don't recall saying they did not show original content. Other shows on SA have been cancelled too. I may very well be far, far out on my 95%, but I do not think all of the new content television shows will count for a large percentage of their program base. I am happy to be corrected on my percentage though
Chad, (sorry, not fully sure how to add another quote in) I did not mean to include the repeats of G.O.T etc in my 95%. I agree fully that these repeats will be useful to new subscribers and eventually/possibly VM subscribers (dependent upon your outlook.) However, many Sky viewers will see these shows as reruns now (and in their eyes, it may push the percentage higher than 95%), and when new Sky and VM subscribers have caught up with these shows, they will become part of the many reruns shown on Sky Atlantic.

Right so if this channel with loads of first run shows is a pile of repeats to you, then what payTV do you watch? Alibi and Comedy Central must be lucky to have 3 hours a week of new programming.
