Nectar Points

Be aware if you have a Nectar card & have not used it for 18 months, they cancel it. I had one & when I tried to log in to my account it was gone. I had just booked a holiday & I thought that I had over 1000 points.

Re: Nectar Points

Just found this problem my self. Worse I have been using it for a few bits and pices in the last few months, after a period when i probably didn't use it much. I've just found out though, having phoned for a replacement card as the current one literally disintegrated with age, that the account was locked. Anything I should have been credited with over the last many months has gone. But I might get my old points back, if they feel generous.

But you'd have expected some shop to have said the card wasn't valid

I receive points from Scottish Gas for the maintenance of my boiler, so that keeps it going. I also have had more points with Expedia.

Re: Nectar Points

I get emails from nectar Ad points each week so I'm 'using' it for that once a week or so, should hopefully keep it alive. Presumably when you log into the nectar website, it would say if your account was live or not ?

---------- Post added at 19:10 ---------- Previous post was at 19:08 ----------

I also use Ebay quite a lot, and that's linked to Nectar too, wonder if that counts as 'using'

i've sent Nectar an email asking if Ebay & Adpoints count as usage or not.

Re: Nectar Points

And there's the response.

Quote:
Thanks for your email regarding account closure.

As part of our collector rules, we’ll close an account which has not collected or spent points for a period of a year or more.

Points collected from ebay and Adpoints will keep your account active and stop its from being closed.

Hope this helps your query.

Thanks for contacting Nectar.

Regards

Rima
Nectar Team

Prob the easiest thing to do, is link your nectar account with your ebay one.
