But often long before that, although one minute past midnight is being very optimistic.

Some of this information is in the public domain, some of it is not. You could try googling anything that is of particular interest to you

I would guess Probably not because BT mention in their marketing strategy that after 31st July virgin will no longer have access to espn so would disagree with that assumption that vm "has" to carry it

@richardcoulter: may I ask why you personally should be informed of whether sky workers are not following supposed direction from management. Surely that would be up to sky to deal with much as virgin media workers following direction from their management regarding advice they give in retentions
VM have a contract to pay ESPN for their channel until the end of the contract, whilst ESPN have a contract to supply ESPN in return for payment.

The takeover by Liberty doesn't change this legally binding agreement, as long as ESPN still exists as an entity. BT can't close down ESPN because of the requirements of various unexpired sports rights. The ESPN brand WILL eventually disappear.

Of course, both companies are free to supercede the contracts if both parties agree.

With immediate effect, Sky employees have been told not to refer to (or insinuate) that Sky Atlantic is a channel that is exclusive to British Sky Broadcasting Group PLC.

Appropriate action would need to be taken by Sky management regarding any issues of insubordination by anybody working for or on behalf of Sky Television. I am afraid I am unable to expand any further due to commercial & confidentiality issues.

Lol, I must admit that, having slated it at launch as not being needed, I have found 4Seven to be useful on many occasions

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.

I must preface this by saying I believe BomberAF is correct and that we will see Atlantic and BT Sports coming very soon and in the way he told us it would come too. However, lets not forget that Sky dropping the "exclusive" could simply mean it will be made available on NOW TV, not VM. It could also be launching on BT as part of the sports deal. These are very unlikely scenarios though and I think in the next couple of weeks many people who have been upset with VM, will be over the moon

I hear tomato sauce goes well in a boxer short and hat sandwich

Or do you think that a senor member of staff would risk there job to feed him tit bits ! Get real.
Yes his knowledge of TV services is great. His information on Virgin services is weak ( ie Tivo)
Ergo, some one( or even more than one) is winding him up & have a big laugh at him & his disciples.
I would even question if the so called insider is real at all.

I am sorry but if the plebs* were told anything it would also be on Virgins web site & in a press release.

No I get it - Announcement to all staff .Hey guys & girls we are about to sign a new deal with X,Y or Z it will happen in the next 1 to 3 months perhaps. Please do not tell any one.
I can just see any business doing that !! & its the way MB says it happens.

Or perhaps someone is hacking into the CEO pc and looking. Passing on what he/she sees to him.

Sorry what I see is an attention seeker feeding at best a guess at worse complete rubbish to people looking for a straw
* check out the meaning
If that is how you feel, it may be in your interests to participate in other thread/s that meet your needs and/or interest yourself as an alternative to this one :-)

Re: Current channel negotiations. I do concur with your view that any person employed by any party partaking in these alleged negotiations would be foolish to risk disciplinary action (up to and including dismissal) for the sake of disobeying a management instruction not to pass on very commercially sensitive information that may leave either company open to the threat of legal action for damages and/or breach of contract.

This level of security is unprecedented and is highly unusual, so it is quite feasible that Media Boy would be able to obtain a "heads up" regarding channel launches.

Match of the day will be available on the BBC iPlayer from this August , previously it couldn't be shown On Demand due to rights issues.
