Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.
From the VM help forums regarding BT Sport this was posted last week
Quote:
|
There are several new channels launching on Virgin Media on 1 Aug 13.... Can say no more.
|
From what I can gather BT made an offer to VM to carry BT Sport but VM turned this down as it would mean XL customers would have had to pay more to get it and this is something VM don't want what the current situation is I don't know but thats why its taking a long time to get it VM want it free for XL customers and BT don't so a compromise needs to be found

Premier collection and VIP half price for a full year! Imagine if BT Sports and SKY Atlantic was confirmed as coming soon, before this deal expires? Virgin would add incredible numbers. Even if BT Sports isn't going into XL, half price for a year would allow BT Sports to be added without adding too much financial burden.

I may be a little thick here however it seems strange to be offering massive discounts of 12 months half price , surely all the rumoured additions is enough to attract new customers if they are actually correct that is.

Yes, unless they are not allowed to say anything until 1 Aug. then they would need something to keep them on track, until it was announced.
I of course await, but not with bated breath

In fairness Den, Colin and MuppetMan have no need for pessimism tbh as they already have a provider that has/will have Atlantic and BT Sports, they are just indulging in some friendly ribbing, the pair of scallywags
