Re: The Xbox One Thread
It's not really a restriction on used games though. It's purely as the game installs to the hdd and the disc isn't required in the drive that they need to have a system in place to remove that game off your account if you sell it on.
Family sharing was a great idea but now thanks to people not willing to embrace change we are back to the current way of doing things with physical media.

These changes will impact some of the scenarios we previously announced for Xbox One. The sharing of games will work as it does today, you will simply share the disc. Downloaded titles cannot be shared or resold. Also, similar to today, playing disc based games will require that the disc be in the tray.
An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games – After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.
Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today – There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360.

I am rather gutted about this the family sharing idea was brilliant.

Still requires Kinect so I'm still holding out for a Kinect-less one.

Re: The Xbox One Thread
Ps4, more powerful, free games with PS+, it hast got kinect staring at me, cheaper.
I really think the more powerful GPU and memory will make a difference to a lot of games, but it will be a. Wait and see thing for me.

I dont think it will make any difference on the games. 3rd party devs are not going to code the same game twice. Only time it will make a difference is on 1st party games IMO

Re: The Xbox One Thread
Just got to wait and see, I would have thought it would affect games just like a better GPU does on a pc, it will be 6 months before we find out.
---------- Post added at 22:58 ---------- Previous post was at 22:56 ----------
And I don't want any of the kinect and TV crap.
