I prefer the xbox controller

I got FIFA 13 for £25 from a CD keys website last year but EA continue to charge £49 for a digital download.

If both consoles want us to embrace digital downloads then they should make digital downloads £10 cheaper than bluray discs, i think they really missed an opportunity there.

Making digital downloads cheaper would please us but anger the retailers...

I will buy a PS4 too, but at the moment I've swayed back towards getting an Xbox One first.
- I've been on XBL longer than PSN, so have more friends on it.
- I think that XBL is far superior to PSN.
- The 360 controller is my fave ever controller.
- I think that the DualShock 3 is awful. Sure the DualShock 4 is supposed to be better (e.g. with non-crap triggers at long last), but I still prefer the look of the Xbox pad.
Power difference... I'm sure that it will be apparent in exclusive games, but for multiplatform stuff I doubt that we'd see much of a difference, despite the PS4's faster RAM and extra GPU cores.

Re: The Xbox One Thread
it not the drm that screwed microsoft it the 24hr rule i no my connection goes down at least once a month for over a day most players like playing single player games it a kick in the teeth to most players of offline games i have switched to ps4 for that reason drm didn't bother me 24hr rule killed mine and my mates interest in the console

For me its all about the games , in my opinion xbox has the far better exclusives , titanfall looks like a must have, halo , gears of war , sunset overdrive looks interesting. I know for a fact as soon as a new gears of war is released I would want to buy an Xbox one. None of the ps4 exclusives give me the same feeling . Couple that with the fact I expect the online experience to be far superior on Xbox live again , a better controller IMO . My only gripe is the price difference but what the hell I'm going for it . The 24 hour check in is a pain but won't affect me as it will always be connected , if I can't play online I don't play anyway !!!. As said previously I doubt there will be a huge difference in game quality as with 360 and ps3 but yeah I expect the exclusives may look a bit better on ps4 . The overall setup of the Xbox one appeals to me , it does everything the ps4 does and lots more

Re: The Xbox One Thread
SnoopZ I don't think power will effect consoles that much. Pretty much al lthe multi platform games will look almost identical. There will of course be some exlcusive titles that may look better but then again the 360 ended up with some games that looked better than their PS3 versions. Ghostbusters was one that stuck in my mind for looking a lot worse on the PS3.

Re: The Xbox One Thread
True, but correct me if i am wrong, didn't the 360 have more powerful graphics compared to the PS3 where it was able to display better textures?
My problem is i don't want to buy both consoles as i only game occasionally on selected titles like Battlefield so i am kinda torn.

You're wrong about the graphics, the Playstation 3 was capable of more impressive visuals than the XBOX360, but it was very expensive to develop the games that took advantage of the playstation 3.
This was down to the Playstation's "cell" processor not really being ideal for a games console. So developers simply started writing the games for Xbox then doing a weak port over to Playstation. Some of the playstations first party developer games look stunning.

Re: The Xbox One Thread
seeing as both consoles are now X86 architecture I see no reason why cross platform games should stay equal on the consoles. The PS4 clearly has a much better GPU and some PCs a lot better than the PS4 so I see no reason why devs can not just code a medium and high and Ultra gfx version of the same game (XB one PS4 and PC with options for all)
