Too true sir, too true.
It seems some people only want to pick up on MB's grammar. No-one else is ever picked up on it.
It's all rather cowardly my eyes.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 2.
Cable Forum, in my humble opinion, wouldn't be worth visiting if The Coming Soon thread didn't exist. This version of the Coming Soon thread has received 215,489 views in just 10 weeks. Whilst we all contribute to the thread, the main driver is Media Boy and his inside stories. Sure they don't always come to fruition, but he can only post the info he gets.
Media Boy, you are a legend. Cable Forum should thank you for the time and effort you put in. Without this thread Cable Forum wouldn't get as many hits day in, day out.

Morons complaining about grammar and spelling need to go find a woman and get their frustrations out of their systems. I love this thread, although some people ruin the reading of this thread. Carry on MB, ignore the grammar and spelling Nazis.

Yes but he has already stated that the suppositions are based on deals signed with other broadcasters in 2013 and it's not really comparing like with like. I would expect that, taking carriage deals and the history of cable channel launches into account, questions would be raised. Questions such as why would all of Viacom's channels be added when channels were removed in the previous deal? Situations do change but that's a big assumption with no insider knowledge. Similarly, A+E Networks UK is a joint operation with Sky, just because History +1 is added to the VM lineup doesn't automatically mean that the HD versions will also be coming (given Sky's involvement and track record).
Even so, it is useful for MB to mention that these channels are also owned by the company involved in a new carriage deal and to keep an eye out for some of them possibly appearing on the EPG. I'm not quite sure however that it is really useful to name specific channels and suggest that they will be appearing within a specified timescale with no insider knowledge. If anything, that only harms MB's reputation for accuracy and damages his track record if the channels don't then appear.

If you choose to take a supposition as fact and then get disappointed when it doesn't come off then you're the only one to blame, I reckon.

I agree that MB does make it clear when he makes suggestions without insider knowledge. However, other posters take it as gospel and repeat it as fact. That really does cloud the issue and confuse other forum users who possibly didn't read MB's disclaimer.

Advert in today's star says from August Virgin Media viewers will lose ESPN and the only way to get it and BTSport is with BT themselves, not happy if that's true.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 2.
I doubt we'll see BT Sport on VM.
The purpose of the exercise from BTs point of view is to establish a relationship with the end user so that they can attempt to flog them broadband and phone services too. Unlike ESPN, BT want to handle the billing themselves. I'm not sure that VM would be happy to allow them to collect the details of lots of their customers.
It'd be like a turkey voting for Christmas.
In my opinion BT may be looking at VM customers as easier to 'chip off' than Sky's because many of us see VMs broadband as the deciding factor. Now that BT also has fibre broadband to offer we might be ripe for the picking, particularly if we can't access BT Sport.
Pure speculation, but worth a thought.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 2.
It's not feasable for BT to run their subs through Virgin's system as the hardware & cards aren't open access like Sky's. It's a question of whether BT can do without the x million paying customers it could possibly have on Virgin.

Oh ok then, I will get rid of TiVo, go down to 4 hd channels, lose the 3 mobiles my kids have for a fiver each as part of my package, oh sorry didn't realise you didn't do additional outlets, ok I will get rid of my v plus out of my bedroom and the one in the kitchen. We do have a similar box to TiVo but you would have to give up Sky sports.
Brilliant deal NOT

Similarly unimpressed with BT's products, options and customer service.
