Does this mean my box might be dead and what is trying to be fixed in this 3 hour period to solve this issue? Has anybody else had this problem?

Thanks for your help in advance,
The box has rebooted after one hour and now seems to be working fine Spiderplant any idea what this problem could have been?

That's a database corruption. You were lucky that it managed to fix itself - it often doesn't.

The hard drive may be on the way out, so I suggest watching any important recordings asap just in case. Also make a note of your series links & WishLists so you can set them up again if the box gets swapped.

Thanks for the info as usual, lucky I am down to 10% on the hard drive so will watch the program's that are important to me now

Shame there is no way of saving your wish lists/series links of say to a cloud server to be recovered if your box needs replacing, just a idea!

I know They should do this and all of your recordings you should be able to put them on to a other hard drive then download them all to your new box or put them on your computer

That would be great
