			Nope I rarely watch SD channels now due to them looking crap after being spoiled with HD on my big telly.

			Strange - most reasonable TVs upscale SD.
 It's not quite as good as HD, but not crap (imho).

 |  True, my TV (Sharp Aquos) does a great job of upscaling but I find Universal (& +1) very blocky and smeary in dark scenes

If and when the channels listed are added then I don't care about the "are we paying for it" argument, the hd line up on Virgin will be absolutely superb.

			Plus I tend to record lots of shows (as they are on same time as football, or my bedtime) 
So record the standard version, never overly concerned about HD version (oft using plus 1s).
 
that said...maybe it is because you need HD for sport to distract you from the game (marvel at the image), whilst the shows have a story I focus on
