TiVo tomorrow
Getting my tivo installed tomorrow - any tips and tricks?
Also, is the 500GB box as noisy as the Samsung V+?

First of all the boxes are very quiet in my opinion and as for tips and tricks these will help you a bit.

Re: TiVo tomorrow
I made a list of all the series links that I had on the V+, so that I could add them to Tivo.
Because the V+ only has 2 recordable tuners, some of my series links were for a repeated showing later in the week. Because Tivo has 3 recordable tuners, it did confuse me at first when a show that I set to record on the repeat showing, was listed as going to be recorded on the first showing. This is because Tivo has the extra tuner, and will always record the first showing if it has a tuner free.

None of the VM boxes are normally noisy, but you can get bad examples of any box. If you aren't happy with it, ask them to swap it.

Re: TiVo tomorrow
Install went well. TiVo box is silent and an added bonus which I wasn't expecting is the engineer swapped the VHD for my V+.
