Got TiVo Today,
Well, my half price for 12 months Premier collection was installed today and well...................................
The install couldn't have better, real polite chatty installer who I think really appreciated my moving furniture out the way this morning giving him full access to skirting, the back of TV's and Superhub installation point.
Speeds are good, TiVo is faster than I expected and the VHD is well.....A VHD and it works. Powerlevels are in the minus slightly but its -1 here with snow on the floor so that will rise as temp rises so will probably end up at 0.0,
Tidy install with everything exactly where I requested and no mess left behind, So happy so far but with 12 months at half price I can't see me being unhappy whatever happens. I still have SkyTV in lounge and BB an phone aswell so if VM goes down I'm still sorted.
Also my TiVo is a Samsung, I didn't now Samsung made the TiVo's or is there more than 1?

Both Cisco and Samsung make them. You could get either.
Glad it all went well.

Re: Got TiVo Today,
Keep a eye on your power levels, it should not really be affected by the weather (mine ain't)

Re: Got TiVo Today,
Meh,
I only put powerlevels as I expected someone would ask me what they were if I didn't post them anyway. I've never cared for powerlevels as long as its working I'm happy.
If my connection drops I'm sure a "tech" will come and correct it, for the price and having SkyTV,BB,Phone aswell I don't really care. Its only an arse when it goes down and its your only connection.
The price is £38 a month, now the HD pack would be £10.25 on Sky, The 2 tv boxes would cost £10.25 each on Sky, and ESPN £12 on Sky. That's ignoring the extra phoneline and 60Mb broadband. Honestly its a frigging awesome bargain. I have now officially forgiven VM for everything EVER
An minus 1 or 2 or even 4 is probably fine...

They will be, its down to the resistance within the cable when hot or cold.

Re: Got TiVo Today,
I done the same last week after a year out from Virgin. Great deal. Takes some getting used to the Tivo though after using Sky+ HD for so long.
Virgin had only started doing Tivo when i left and i was used to the V+ menu's etc but now when i look at them on the VHD box i realise the Tivo is so much better although some of the menus could really be much more simplified.

Not in the TV forum. Single power readings aren't much use because it only tells you what is happening on one unknown frequency. The levels could be way off at the other end of the spectrum.
As long as you don't have a fault, don't worry about it.

Good point, but those power levels I should have said are from my "Superhub".
