It's definitely good news. Be good at some point to get the missing music channels, i.e MTV classic, and the CSC channels.

Hear, hear!
Nearly there, just Sky Atlantic and the video streaming on TIVO courtesy of Netflix/Lovefilm being the sticking points!

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 1.
This should help on the web content front like Netflix/Lovefilm
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-0...y-liberty.html
"Virgin Media Inc. (VMED), the U.K. cable-TV provider being bought by Liberty Global Inc. (LBTYA), plans to make Web services like Netflix a more integral part of its offering rather than fighting them, its chief executive officer said.
“Our approach is to get every content asset you possibly can on the platform,” CEO Neil Berkett said yesterday in an interview at the Cable Congress in London."

Ahh yeah I know what you mean, we still get ITV 1/2/3/4 in the STV region, and will get ITV 2/3/4 in HD come tomorrow (hopefully) so we will get them in HD (just not on ITV HD)

Is there anything stopping VM from using channel numbers 001 to 099 as a place to put all the HD channels together?

That would be my ideal list of additions too. Get those and I'd be one very happy bunny.

Good question. No doubt there will be someone knowledgable enough to respond "why not", but it certainly would make sense and be helpful.

I did always wonder why they don't use 001 to 099.

Here it comes . Those channel numbers are already in use for the hidden channels, such as the red button streams.

As far as I understand it BBC One - Channel 5 have to be the first channels listed in the EPG as they are Public Service Broadcasters
Also I think that Virgin Media use 101 as the starting number so that those coming over from Sky (and now Freesat) know where to start.
