ITV HD is flagged as 5.1 on freeview, isn't it the same on VM? I don't use surround sound, so can't easily tell.

Nothing is flagged as 5.1 on the Sky EPG for ITV HD , ITV 2,3,4 HD even newer content like 666 Park Avenue.

Being flagged as 5.1 on freeview only indicates that it is capable of surround sound. It doesn't actually mean they are using 5.1 content. It is progress though, ITV used to be flagged as 2.1.

Seperate company, last I heard ITV were going to roll this out to all regions, not sure if any have been done. It was around 2011 they said this though.
