I believe some form of away mode is in the pipeline , the ability to start OD downloads whilst out and about is one feature and hopefully planner management will also he made available in away mode , that's a nice feature of the TIVO app.

It is not a good sign indeed. I too will not be adding BT Sport to my subscription to VM if it is extra which it looks like it will be.
I would drop Sky Movies but it is only a tad more with Sky Sports and well I rather like Sky Movies.... :-)

126 games on Sky is it? Really don't need the BT pack. Will miss the Italian football huely but it's not worth the subscription.

I Suppose if sports your thing, then fair enough, there so much money involved nowadays, especially football, they can charge what they want.

It's amazing how that price creeps up on you mate. Think I was £70 odd a couple of years ago. In fairness my landline and Internet are with Virgin. HD premium channels and TiVo push the price up, also think we've had 4 rises in 12 months or so. Agree it's a frightening figure

Just managed to renegotiate my bill back down, I was out of contract, so I got quite a good deal. Like you I have all my services with Virgin.

Ouch! that's not good. It might be worthwhile remembering this experience next time you are discussing how willing Sky are to make their channels available to VM. As you have just found out, with Sky, things aren't always as straight forward as they might seem.
Welcome back...

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 1.
Several things to comment on.
IF ESPN, if rumours are true that BT have bought all the rights to football etc channels, then the contract signed with VM should qualify it foe FREE as part of the contract, l don't know how long the contract was for maybe Media Boy can advise on that one.
It will be a big on Friday when the Sky engineer calls to collect equipment - he touches my Dish l will sue Sky, it belongs to us NOT Sky.
Secondly, the deal that l had with Sky was Free install, dish and Cable. But the stuff was already there, l was with them for 12 years, then went to Freesat. I don't like being treated like mug with Mug, if l am told up front what is happening and my wife agrees, then that's fine. But to find out afterwards the costs, then that is it, l was told everything for £60.00 per month. Channels, Anytime etc, then they told us we needed BT Open Reach etc and that was it, it would have cost us nearly £80 per month, no way.

The ESPN deal with Virgin Media is set to end by the end of July 2013.
If BT Sports did launch Three Sports channels - let say on March 1st.
Only The stream that ESPN did use on Sky will only be seen or drop from Virgin Media.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 1.
Well, having a look at the first day of transmission on Virgin, I can see loads of that You Are What You Eat rubbish, but one of my childhood crushes is on there as well so I will be recording that. So apart from the YAWYE rubbish, I'm pleased about this channel launch. Not worth the price increase on its own though.
