Indeed and l for one expect the raft of new channels to continue for some time yet.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 1.
Cinemagic's closing and we're getting the other two within the next fortnight so it would be unfair to include them.
But we still have Film4 HD exclusivity, it must be driving the customers in - in their droves.

Thanks Media Boy, would like to see MTV Classics return along with MTV Music. A good time for new channels it seems.

In which case they could make a lockable snap out drive and provide VM techs with the key. The method was intended to be a quick fix to avoid losing recorded content when a box fails.
If anyone was that determined to share / swap drives they could just open up the box and remove it.

Yes, I did mean the Sky channels. Premium content providers would be more concerned about this unlikely form of programme sharing than most broadcasters.

The point was to make it easier for a VM tech to transfer the drive from a faulty box to a replacement box. An alternative to taking the whole thing away resulting in lost recordings.

They could but they would be wasting their time. Every box has its own unique disc encryption keys.

I expect most broadcasters would be concerned if disc cloning was possible. Sky's extra restriction is to prevent viewing after unsubscribing,

Only 23 in my eyes...
Sky unlikey to give anyone the HD Channels of Sky 3D, Sky Atlantic HD, Sky Sports 3 HD, Sky Sports 4 HD and Sky Sports F1 HD
So Virgin can go after (Bar British Eurosport 2 HD and Animal Planet HD):
Disney Cinemagic HD - NOT going to happen due to channel closing on March 28th.
01) Crime & Investigation Network HD
02) Disney Channel HD
03) Disney XD HD
04) E! HD
05) ESPN America HD
06) History HD
07) ITV2 HD
08) ITV3 HD
09) ITV4 HD
10) MGM HD
11) More4 HD
12) MTV HD
13) Nat Geo Wild HD
14) NHK World HD
15) Nickelodeon HD
16) RT (Russia Today) HD
17) RTÉ Two HD
18) Sky News HD
19) Sky Sports News HD
20) STAR Plus HD
21) Universal Channel HD

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 1.
There are a few on those list that I wouldn't complain if they suddenly showed up on the VM EPG, but the one I really want is ESPN America HD.
