I brought this up before ages ago but i reckon we will end up with cloud based set top boxes everything recorded on a virtual drive that way box breaks and needs to be changed nothing is lost.

Seriosly, there is so much more functionality on Tivo, and with VM having vastly increased the number of HD channels, I don't see how many people can live with the 20 hours HD recording space that V+ limits you to.

Yep, the cloud is the way to go and has massive advantages for people. But guess who is slowing things down? Content providers! I know, total surprise that one

And me, but they have taken a hell of a lot of stick about the unreliable SuperHub.
