Knife man tasered outside Buckingham Palace
Amazingly enough the usual 'Oooh Tasers are bad' brigade aren't forthcoming in comments about this. Maybe they realise the alternative resolution would be the 9mm kind?

Now if that were a hostage situation with the knife at the hostages throat. the tactic was wrong.
he had a thick jacket on. he should have tasered his head!

You are actually right. Well almost but that's close enough.
It appears the first taser doesn't make good contact and he is able to rip out the barb and run at the cop who shot it. The second cop hits him in the back and he goes down like a sack of spuds.

And this is the reaction from self proclaimed taser expert, full time ambulance chaser and twitter annoyance Sophie Khan.

How can you walk around the roads near Buckingham Palace brandishing knives and just continue walking down the road? No way! #itvnews

Obviously the fact the Police surrounded and detained said knifeman escapes her.

Obviously another candidate for direct entry to the Police or to be a PCC...

Do you think taser was necessary? I think it is quite a violent method of stopping someone

Re: Knife man tasered outside Buckingham Palace
What would happen if say 3 tasers were being fired into a person at once?
obviously the voltage given out by one has got to be a safe level. but 2? 3?
I would suggest to the woman that if a man were to be standing by her with a knife and she felt threatened. that the police should throw her a tin of pepper spray to use on him.
