Many people don't want too pay a regular subscription every month and some probably cant afford it , this now enables them access to that one key match they want to see while allowing them to watch the rest of the live sport that day , Sky were never going to set the price too low and run the risk of losing monthly Sky Sports subscribers.

The article suggests £9.99 gives unlimited access to all of Sky’s sports coverage for 24 hours. I think SKY might start putting on "blockbuster" sports days / weekends.

For example there is a 24 hour period coming up in a few months that would be tempting to sports fans without SKY Sports.

25th May - Champions League Final
25th May - Carl Froch Vs. Mikkel Kessler
26th May - Scottish Cup Final
26th May - Monaco Grand Prix

If your are a fan of football, boxing and F1 you laughing.

It opens up premium sports to a much wider audience. It's given people a choice they didn't have before.

"On Thursday, BSkyB chief executive Jeremy Darroch said there had been no substantive talks on the carriage of the new BT Sports channels on the satellite platform. He anticipated these would get underway in the next few weeks."

It will be interesting to see how these talks go but l am sure BT will find there is plenty of devil in the detail.
