Confused on what cable I need

Hi all

We are moving our tv from where it is and its going on the wall. Now I know I need a coaxible cable but I have no idea where to get one from. Our new TV arrives on monday (hubby slightly over excited about it atm) but means we need about 3m of cable to reach where the new tv is. I know Maplin do that sort of stuff but i dont no what sort ect we need. We are with Virgin for our broadband n tv.

Re: Confused on what cable I need

What exactly do you want to extend?

If it's the connection from your VM box to the TV, then you either need a long SCART or HDMI cable as someone else suggested.

If it's to connect your TV aerial to the set, then you need some low loss coax cable.

Maplins should sell you both

Re: Confused on what cable I need

you could ask a Maplin staff member nicely if they would prep the cable for you. basically go in dumb and ask staff. flirt if you have to

Re: Confused on what cable I need

If you really have to move the box & are only moving it 3m, you can get a made up 5m lead & adaptor from Amazon.

That is worrying never had to flirt to get the staff at Maplins to make up cable for me. But then playing dumb did not come into it . Must be my stunning charm & good looks , will take the wife for protection in the future
