Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
New series of Derek starts on 30th Jan. Was looking to set a record via the guide. However shows to be announced for any ch4 listing from 26th Jan Strange as this has been confirmed. Is this normal? Movies etc are listed Cheers for any advice.
Edit Got it via browse

No, that's not normal. The terrestrial channels only provide EPG updates once a week, but even so you should have data up to 02/02. Does the data for BBC1 run out at the same time? How about 4HD?

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Just tried it on Dexter on cbs action, and can confirm you get a little pop up from Tetley asking if you've paused for a cuppa. Quite clever actually, not really intrusive, and appropriate to the circumstances.

Should add, you can hide it by pressing down and it doesn't come back when you next pause.

Also I'm not getting it on the Daily Show on Comedy Central Extra, so is this just a cbs thing?

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Interesting, are you able to get a video of the advertising in action by any chance?
Have VM announced any kind of in programme advertising plan for TiVo?

It's a static ad, so a pic will suffice:

Thanks for that Lew.
I'm still interested to see and announcement about this from VM. Surely they haven't let it arrive without a little fanfare?

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
As it only seems to be on CBS Action at the moment I'd imagine they're just testing it.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Hi
it may have something to do with this
Brandon said Virgin Media was also developing advanced on-demand advertising services for the TiVo platform.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Possibly, although to clarify, I got the ad during playback of a programme recorded in my shows.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Looking at the photo I have to say I hope Sky don't go down this route its reminiscent of an ad supported app , I much prefer how they did it before on the discovery bar.

Any chance of a TiVO speed and feature update soon?

Do VM still use the discovery bar as a way to serve up adverts also?
I thought this new advertising whilst paused etc was in place of the discovery bar ads, not as well as! There's risk of advert overload here......

Has the second core been enabled yet? I know there was talk of that being activated a while ago but I've not been keeping up with the TiVo news.
