VM don't normally give very much notice prior to making changes, so it's not really unexpected to see "no news" listed at this point.

For those who like to take their news from foreign sources, a new channel is due to start that aims to "rebalance the news" from a Nigerian perspective.
I have asked one of my VM managerial contacts if we will get this on the VM platform. If anyone is interested in this channel, i'll let you know what he says when he returns my call.

I would suggest that anyone applying should be wary of providing their bank details

I have just had a call back from my contact.
Apparently, Arise TV are currently testing on satellite and have approached VM for details of ways to get the channel onto their platform too.
They will "gauge interest on the satellite platform" and the channel "may appear on VM at some point".
