Media Boy, you obviously know what's happening else you'd be allowed a vote!

I'd like to see some way for the user to be able to choose which variant, hd or standard, is displayed on the epg - that would cut it down a bit.

i just wish they would group all the channels together, e.g. Channel 5 next to channel 5+1 then channel 5 HD instead of the insane gap between then all.

its a little embarrasing in customers houses when its on sky sports news, you accidently tap down and xxx mums comes up. obviously it needs to be next to something but maybe it should be away from popular channels.

Is there a way to do that? On TiVo when you set the epg to display a certain category it snaps back after an hour.

On TiVo: Home->Help & Settings->Parental Controls->Hide adult channels

On Liberate: Home->Settings->Locked Channels->Yellow

It would definitely be good if they improved the order of channels 100 - 200 as they are a bit of a mess and like other posters have said, group channels together if they have HD and +1 varients.

Also, never understood why the sports channels begin on 511, why not 501?

Users used to be able to move channels. It was a nightmare. People would forget where they had put them, or one member of the family would move channels confusing everyone else.

I can think of two reasons not to group by broadcaster. People expect channels 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 to be together at the start. I can't see ITV being happy at being after the 36 BBC channels. Also, what happens if a channel is sold to a new owner?

Think channels 101-5 should always be BBC One to Channel 5 but after that they should group ITV, BBC, etc.

PremPlus was many years ago MM so I defo think the sports channels should start on 501 with Sky Sports 1.

As I hardly ever use the EPG I'm more in do not care camp than anything else as I'm never inconvenienced by the fact that, for example, BBC HD is 187 yet BBC 1 HD is 108.

Apart from the BBC ones above I doubt I could reel off the channel numbers of any of the channels I record from. So changing them will just mean there are a whole host of new numbers that I won't have a need to remember.....once I've gone and set up my series links again for any channels that do have their number changed
