And BT won

Long may competition drive up customer service and services to the customer.

That is impressive from BT. It gives them plenty to shout about. Looks like both SKY and Virgin are going to have some real competition over the next 12 months in terms of triple play.
The real winner here is us the customers. More choice and more quality.

I think Plusnet also deserve a mention. They picked up the best customer rated home broadband service ahead of BT, Virgin and SKY. Surely out of all the awards this is one many providers would have liked? Recognition from your own customers must be key?

Ok I am not trying to start anything here, but surely Best Broadband Provider tops the others. Which are just part of the service going to towards being BBB provider. Or am I missing so thing here. My thinking If it was a car. Lexus wins Best car. but Ford wins best seat , & parking brake. Seat gets best fog light Etc,

Indeed if the customer is the winner at the end of the day that has to be a good thing.

I was trying to say Well done Virgin for being the best of the best.
Sorry if I did not put that over. In the Oscars "best tea break" I feel is just filler( get tea break- filler ) - the one that matters is best film

I agree with those voicing the customer win. We now look forward to enhancements which companies will no doubt be looking to make right

Yeah, it's a little puzzling.
Virgin and BT are the clear winners in terms of providing internet services.
For anyone interested, in a comparison, here is last years results:

Looks like O2 have dropped off the face of the planet in the last 12 months.

My interpretation is that they gave it to BT for having the best broadband and Virgin for having the best coverage.

Re: Virgin Media win at uSwitch awards
I'm pretty sure I heard an advert from SKY this morning on the radio mentioning their Best Customer Service award. They certainly didn't hang about putting that together.

Re: Virgin Media win at uSwitch awards
I'm curious what their definition of " Best Broadband Provider" is, if it isn't best from the customer's perspective, what's it best as?
If people would rather recommend Sky broadband over VM and rate BT broadband better, what exactly makes VM "best", aside from speed, which is a separate category?

Except Lexus won "best car provider", Ford won "most recommended car" and Skoda won "best owner rated car", "best car and insurance package" and "best car, insurance, and warranty"
[Edit]
Apparently VM won on judges' rating, whereas Plusnet Sky and BT won on customer's rating. So the difference is really, "Best car as rated by judges" vs "Best car as rated by car owners"

That is incorrect qas - http://www.uswitch.com/broadband/news/2013/01/virgin_media_wins_big_at_uswitch_broadband_awards_ 2013/
Quote from U Switch - Virgin Media scooped four wins in 15 categories – including the night’s most coveted gong: Best Broadband Provider, based on a combination of customer votes and speed test data from uSwitch.com.

If they use top speeds as an indicator of how good a broadband is, then these awards are not worth the paper/webserver they are printed on. If they went by quality of the broadband, in regard to latency and jitter which make a difference to gaming, VOIP, streaming etc then I would expect Virgin would have been near the bottom.
