How long does the upgrade take?
I've just upgraded from 30mb to 60mb online, how long does it normally take? I've rebooted the SH etc.

Re: How long does the upgrade take?
When they do it over the phone it is instantaneous but I have seen posts on the forum from other users where they say it has taken a couple of hours when they have upgraded online so I don't know how fully automated it is and whether somebody has to authorise the request. It should have been done by now though. I know it is going to stress you out but if you don't get it by the end of today then a phone call is in order.

Re: How long does the upgrade take?
Normally up to 24 hrs just reboot your modem every few hours and the upgrade will come through

Re: How long does the upgrade take?
it should be instant but sometimes the signal doesnt successfully send a new config to your device, I dont know if it will eventually work if it fails or if you need to ring back.

Re: How long does the upgrade take?
Cheers all - something went wrong when I tried to do it online apparently. Called up and it was done within minutes

Re: How long does the upgrade take?
No it doesn't. It was 150 miles distant - Dublin.

Re: How long does the upgrade take?
If you don't know, why tell Russ he needs to get his ping looked at?
Anyway, there are three speedtest.net sites in Dublin. One of them is consistently poor (56 to 126 ms), the others are better and one of them is good (26 ms).
This is why I say JDAST and never use speedtest.net.

Re: How long does the upgrade take?
well there you go. if its crap in Dublin then its got nout to do with the 150 mile distance. and i said what i said because it clearly sucks. VM or Dublin server at fault to which youve answered already.

Re: How long does the upgrade take?
You said he needs to get his ping sorted out. He doesn't need to get it sorted out at all.

I should of added test Manchester. I always seem to get lower pings testing the Manchester server.

Re: How long does the upgrade take?
You can't get out of it by highlighting the word "result"!
If you'd have known about the Dublin differences, you'd have said so. It would have been pointless to post what you said with that "result" meaning.

Re: How long does the upgrade take?
I'm not trying to get out of anything. I didnt know about Dublin. I already suggested that I didn't know... "VM or Dublin server at fault to which youve answered already." And clearly the result needs sorting out with it not being a correct reflection of his connection. And anyway you've gone from suggesting the ping result for 150 miles distance is acceptable to Dublin having a bent server.
