Some public servants are more equal than others. They love kicking the public sector but conveniently forget that they're a part of it. Hardly any of the current public sector reforms apply to them strangely. A lot of them have even better paid second jobs/consultancies/chairmanships, as well as second homes which we have to pay for. Can't think of a less deserving cause at the moment. They managed to get everybody to forget about the expenses scandals by turning society against each other and making the most vulnerable/poorest the enemies.
If they don't like it they can resign, like the rest of us could. There's plenty looking for jobs that would welcome half their salary (even before perks).
Good, I feel better now ..... Just need to see Nick Clegg lynched and that would make me very happy (any takers ? I'll pay handsomely.)

Well at least this time they have to ASK for a pay rise like the rest of us.Up until now they used to just choose a ballpark figure and vote for it.No pleading with a boss,no excuses given, just vote for 28%,25% or even 32%.

Indeed and at least during this parliament ministers pay is frozen and mp's can only get a rise of 1% if at all
