The refs intodays live games were poor, especially in the Man Utd game. Persie should have been shown a straight red for violent conduct for the way he went for that player.

That is why I thought Van persie was off, his reaction should have been deemed retaliation.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
The defender was looking at Van Persie and pelted the ball. His other mate decided to trip Robin while he Robin went for the person in question kicking the ball. Van Persie did lash out but it only come about because the defender smashed the ball at the back of his head. See the replay, notice how the defender is looking at Van Persie. Theres enough evidence there to punish all 3 tbh.

I have just seen the incident on Sky Sports News HD and they are both in the wrong. The ball was kicked at RVP on purpose and RVP shouldnt of reacted the way he did

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Now the biggest laugh of the year-as to be Sir Alex, the ball could have killed VP, is he having a laugh.
I have seen worse incidents involving United players this season, what the problem is the ball was kicked NOT deliberately and VP lifted his head - hoping for a penalty, and bang VP gets up looking to smack the player, instance red card for violent conduct.
And Sir Alex an Oscar for the biggest laugh, I have seen Rooney and Paul Scholes commit worse fouls than that and get away with it. Sir Alex, just because you didn't win he is shouting his mouth off - at least he got his FOUR minutes again.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
he has a point. players have died having been hit with the ball in the past. watch the replay again, watch how the defender is looking at Robin. whether or not Robin lifted his head, the defender was looking at Robin when pelting the ball. and your point of Robin lifting his head makes it even worse. had the ball hit a spot on his head which pushed his head in a direction could have seen his spine snap. it was dangerous. and what was the other Swansea player playing at tripping Robin? like i said all 3 are wrong and should be punished.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Villa were poor, instead of shutting shop at 5-0, they kept trying to go forward, and got caught. That doesn't make chelsea good, just smarter.
Similar scenario to Man Utd vs Man City last year, where man utd tried to recover, and kept getting caught

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Not saying I'm mates with him or anything but I've met Ashley Williams quite a few times as he's a friend of a friend and he's never struck me as the type of person who would deliberately try to injure a fellow professional or anyone really but then again I have no idea what it's like in the heat of the moment in the middle of a professional football match with a potential tv audience of hundreds of millions.
But saying that, the whistle had gone, there was a man on the floor in front of him...
