I just had to get my mum to phone them as we were supposed to have 120 weeks ago, the lady on the other end did it straight away, very happy now!

LIVE Update Report LOLOL
as reported to the other thread here
http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/35509794-post45.html
they are out right now fixing for second night again(5 vans out now - 3 from cabling division & 2 VM)
I am right now (12:30am)disconnected and the engineers told me will take few hours with out connection
Hopefully later i will have 2 upstream channels
The new cabinet seems has 3 amplifiers or so in it ...i can see 3 big metals boxes in the cabinet...they are not letting me take any pics
I am typing from my adsl connection
---------- Post added at 02:10 ---------- Previous post was at 00:32 ----------
They left
at the moment the SH is locked to the only one appearing downstream(No other channels yet) and one new upstream(27400000Hz)
EDIT
Seems back to normal.
Are 6 downstream (instead of 5) but not 2 upstreams yet...just one new.
Downstream power levels was +2 and now at the moment -5
To me (it looks has more congestion this update but i am sure VM still working on it so will check back in the morning

Same thing happened when they added a new upstream in my area babis3g. Dropped 10ms+ off pings and went from having a fair bit of jitter to zero.

Lincoln is now on 120/12. From the log it looks like it happened Monday morning around 11:15 and I have only just noticed

With only 4 downstream channels what speeds are you getting?

i ran a quick speed test last night on speedtest.net and it came back with 93/11.3. I am uploading some torrents atm and it is holding steady at 1.4mb/sec and before it was 1.13mb/sec so I am really happy about that. If I remember Monday morning (cant do it over the weekend) I'll download some stuff from newsgroups and see what I get. Newsgroups is the only way I have ever been able to max out my connection which was previously 12.6mb/sec. My area has always been perfect for speed and congestion so I am not worried about being on 4 downstream channels at all. And while I am at it I'll give VM a round of applause for getting the upgrades done on time. I know a lot of peeps are moaning atm that they keep being put back. I was down for end of December and they came through 2 weeks early. What a love Christmas present

I think a 256-QAM channel can transport 38 Mbps, then four 256-QAM bonded channels can transport 152 Mbps
Have you got any 3rd part router?if yes maybe its firewall or if that 3rd part router or the VGM 300 is not 10/100/1000 based can restrict the speed
My draytek is not going more than 90mb really, due to the firewall.
At my post here ...after they connect back the service ...it locked only to one channel (for short time) and got 35mb
(later bonded an other 5 and service was back to normal)

Thanks

I have got a Linksys router and the firewall is on. I won't know what sort of speed I can achieve downstream until I do a test on Monday but I am not too fussed. The upstream is more important to me.

Make sure your QoS (if any) is changed to take into account of your faster speeds too. I forgot about that once after a round of speed doubling and spent ages wondering why until it twigged

Re: 120Mb live areas - Please add to this thread as your area comes online
Mine says "We estimate your area will be ready by the end of: December 2012"
then under that in black it says this - Pssst -
if you're one of our up to 100Mb customers, we're going to upgrade you to up to 120Mb. It may take a little while, but it's coming.
Hang tight - we estimate your area will be ready between May 2013 and October 2013.
Just wondering which one is it Dec or the one below?

That would be in the US.
In the UK it transports ~55Mbps. EuroDOCSIS uses wider channels than the US.
