This is survival of the fittest however. We've used technology and medicine to survive just as early man used fire and tools. Our greatest assets are our ability to communicate, think and invent. That's not really different to the animal kingdom seeing the fastest or strongest animals prosper only we use intelligence.

I really don't understand why anybody would assume that numbers (which aren't completely accurate seeing as there aren't exactly 24 hours in a day) aligning would signify the end of the world
