Nope.
We got 100/5 for new customers, never had the full 100/10.

Same. Was another PR thing rather than them actually improving their network.

We've finished upgrading the fibre optic network in your area.
Pssst -
if you're one of our up to 100Mb customers, we're going to upgrade you to up to 120Mb. It may take a while, but it's coming.
Hang tight - we estimate your area will be ready between September 2013 and December 2013.
I don't understand that... If the double speed upgrades are finished, as it says they are, why is it stating it will take another 9-12 months for 120mbit?
Surely that means well actually the double speed upgrades aren't complete? Because I thought once they are complete there's no reason for not enabling 120mbit

Not sure what package you're on? Then log in to My Virgin Media or check your bill.

I don't think will be ready by May in the begin of the expected time
Pssst -
FTTP, fibre all the way to Home may coming by that time and starts around same time with On Demand
Note i am not getting it, too expensive to install it unless will be a special offer at time
But is 20mb on top down and ONLY 2Mb Up ...
My 2850n firewall can not go over 100mb any way (at the moment unless draytek get special firmware which it does from time to time) ...so ... is not bother me much really the upgrade to 2mb more upload/20 down

The double speed upgrades that were on the schedule were for all uplifts apart from 120Mbit
The other upgrades mostly just need more capacity - the 120Mbit needs other work to complete, so has it's own schedule

thats really wierd but maybe thats why i haven't been able to get much faster upload ( i was getting 9.5mb upload before nov 1st ) so i got a little faster upload speed

You haven't been able to get much faster upload because there isn't any "much faster upload" on offer. Additionally, Speedtest.net is crap at measuring fast uploads.

what sort of work. The capacity must be there already because there is no way they are stupid enough to not do it when they did the doubling work. All we are talking about is 20mbit and I know it needs a new config file but so did 30mbit and 60mbit.

When 100Mbit was initially rolled out across the network it was more work than just a new config to replace the 50Mbit one, so the same applies to 120Mbit
I don't know the full technical details, but I do know it's different work required than it is for the other upgrades - which is where there is a different schedule

Use this speed test site to check your speed, it was give to me by an engineer, more accurate than the ordinary speed test
http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/
Don't forget that your kit must be able to handle it, I had to upgrade my wi-fi card in my laptop.

I appreciate the work involved in the initial rollout because you are talking about a bucket load of extra bandwidth. But they did that last year and this year they have done a tonne of work to upgrade the network for the speed doubling so as far as I am concerned 99% of the work has been done and the capacity is there so I don't understand why they cant bang a new config down for the extra 20mbit

I think what he's saying is it's two separate things in the business plan. They're going at it like the rollout of a completely new tier, e.g. when 100Mb came out over 50Mb, or 50 from 20.

If they were two separate plans then we can legitimately say they ballsed up twice when it comes to scheudles/estimates
