Booooooo!!!!

I would buy it if the undercard was stacked but so far it ain't. Not worth £14.95 to stay up until about 6:00am for the main event. It's been a while since a Top Rank show has been on Boxnation. Wonder if there has been a fall out?

I'll catch this one for free elsewhere on Sunday morning

I'm surprised Boxnation have not yet set in stone Kessler Vs. Magee or Abraham Vs. Bouadla. Both should be on as part of the Sauerland deal.

---------- Post added at 21:12 ---------- Previous post was at 20:09 ----------

Ricky Burns Vs. Liam Walsh is off. Walsh injured his back in a car crash. Warren is trying to find a new opponent as we speak. I'm guessing it'll be someone "in house". Would John Murray pull out of his fight against Rees to face Burns instead? Burns Vs. Murray wouldn't be a masterclass, but would be an exciting fight.

Actually just thinking, a guy I work beside knows John Simpson. Simpson was prepared to go up in weight to face Scott Harrison but contrary to reports, he did not get offered the fight. He has been in training and would be ready to face Burns in December.

Re: BoxNation on Virgin Media?

Some good looking boxing documentaries coming up over the next few weeks.

17th November - Boxnation Meets Flintoff - Boxnation - 7:30pm

21st November - A Tribute To Emanuel Steward - Boxnation - 6:30pm

20th November - Ringside Mike Tyson Special - Challenge TV - 0:00am

22nd November - Ricky Hatton The Comeback - Channel 5 - 0:45am

22nd November - Freddie Flintoff From Lords To The Ring Part 1 of 3 - SKY 1 - 9:00pm

27th November - Sports Life Stories Amir Khan - ITV 4 - 10:00pm

29th November - Freddie Flintoff From Lords To The Ring Part 2 of 3 - SKY 1 - 9:00pm

06th December - Freddie Flintoff From Lords To The Ring Part 3 of 3 - SKY 1 - 9:00pm

The first 2 Boxnation documentaries are free to air for SKY customers. The e-mail I received from Boxnation suggests the Emanuel Steward tribute will also be free to Virgin customers.

It was a good performance considering how bad the cut was. Personally I don't think he can take the step up to world level, especially if he has to fight in America.

just looked in at the very good site you recomended.ive just realised when reading on there that "freddie flintoff"is the real andrew flintoff!i thought for some time that it was a pro boxer giving himself that alias for a bit of a publicity lift.i was amazed it IS the ex cricketer and that the boxing board are allowing him to fight a pro boxer.weve got our footy turned into american circus soccer,it looks like boxings going the same way.

Re: BoxNation on Virgin Media?

http://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/sport/story/180142.html

ESPN has secured the rights to broadcast coverage of the British Lionhearts team's fights at the World Series of Boxing.

WORLD SERIES OF BOXING - USA Knockouts v British Lionhearts: November, 20: 7:45PM

WORLD SERIES OF BOXING - British Lionhearts v D&G Italia Thunder: November, 23 : 11:45PM

The tournament brings together some of the top boxers in the world as they represent their country in a World Cup style tournament.

The Lionhearts team includes Olympic medallists, middleweight Fred Evans and lightweight John Joe Nevin, as well as flyweight world No. 1, Andrew Selby, who are all set to compete against Dolce & Gabbana Italia Thunder, the current title holders, in a group stage match at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport on Friday.

The competition's format will see Britain take on each of their Group B rivals home and away in five weight categories from bantam to heavyweight.

Three points are on the line for the most wins out of each match-up's five bouts as teams compete to make the quarter finals and to go on for the chance to be crowned World Champions.

The Lionhearts are also set to face USA Knockouts, Astana Arlans Kazakhstan, German Eagles and Ukraine Otamans over the coming months.

Re: BoxNation on Virgin Media?

That is great news. It'll be good to follow some amateur boxing on the back of a successful Olympics. Good old TiVo picked this up for me as a suggestion!

While their is reports of the demise of ESPN, I'm enjoying the fact they've finally decided to step up and show boxing. It will be really interesting to see if they cover any more professional action in the coming months.

Re: BoxNation on Virgin Media?

Sports Tonight are streaming the linear channel version of Primetime over the next few days. On Virgin we only get the PPV version of Primetime.

There is plenty of Ricky Hatton fights and features being shown over the next few days in the build up to Hattons return. Here is a link to the live stream:
