Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed
Oops missed the Spotify sub.
Unfortunately the way the system works it takes quite a few codes to do the VIP Collection, however it shouldn't be too difficult as you've got most of them on your account already

Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed
Now confused, just been told total bill will be £119 for vip and spotify.
Not complaining
OK I think I know what she has done, she has just the codes I have now but changed the 50 to 100 and it has come out cheaper.
Superhub being installed week on monday with installation fee waived.

Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed
VMNG300, but actually want the snub, as I have a massive jumble of cables behind TV at the moment and cutting one down is good news for me.

Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed
Your loss dude. The vmng300 can handle 100mbit no problemo. You should consider yourself lucky that you have the option to keep it because there are plenty of people who would chooae to have one and you cant get them anymore.

Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed
More delays on doubled speeds gone back to December for 10mb when they promised October.
Our BT superfast broadband is now enabled and it looks to be a better deal, almost identical costs but you get the BT hub which I can't get unless I buy one from Virgin (£70) or pay for 60gb upgrade, I would get four times the speed up to 38mb.
Free 087 calls and use of hotspots.
Even get a lower charge for 3 months.

I would question that. Doesn't sound right. They sent me a SH for free* when I requested an early speed upgrade.
(* Well, they charged me £20 P&P but didn't tell me! Found it on my next bill! )

Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed
I asked several times about the hub and they only provide hubs with a 60mb service or above

SuperHub is required for 30Mbit and above.
However if you are on a lower tier and aren't upgrading to 30Mbit or above, then there is a one off charge for it

Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed
I accept that and as a result I may be a BT customer if there are any more delaysl
From what I hear the BT service being rolled out here is also somewhat of a horror story with delays on installation. It is taking engineers up to 4 hours to connect fibre to just one home which means you can wait for weeks for an appointment.
At least I have a 10mb service

Yes but VM send you free iPads and invite you to all sorts of functions due to being a VM fanboy. So it is entirely possible you are treated differently.

yeah the install stories are not good, get over the install tho and it seems a great service by comparison as long as you close to the cabinet.
I did some BT wholesale checks on houses on my street.
I am estimated at 60+mbit down and 20mbit up
Go 50 houses away tho and its down to half speed for the down and just 6mbit up. VDSL seems to have a very severe speed drop on distance compared to ADSL. But since there is many cabinets most people will be close to one.

For the avoidance of doubt, for future posters' reference, Qtx was being funny. Or, at least, trying to
