I had this happen after the latest software update. Must have been something to do with a restart caused by that update.

Cheers, but I tried that earlier. Just tried it again from both TiVos, no joy.

Do your boxes successfully connect to your router? I'm guessing you would have said if they didn't
I know when I first got my 2nd box I had to connect my older box to the VM network so that it knew that I now had a 2nd box on my account but I assume you've had your 2nd box for a while (at least long enough for both to have connected to the VM network). You could try forcing a connection to the VM network though.
If that doesn't work you could try a reset of the UI.
If that doesn't work reset both boxes.
If that doesn't work then make sure you only record programmes on channels that haven't allowed streaming. That way you won't be missing out on anything ;-)

Ah-ha! For some reason, doing another download of the EPG on both TiVos fixed it....gawd knows why.
Many thanks for your help Mike. .....just wish VM would add some more popular channels.

Glad you got it sorted. While the channel list isn't great I have recordings from at least one of them that I'd like to stream so I have more than I had yesterday which is an improvement in my books....and I've not had to pay any extra for it :-)

Re: Multiroom streaming ... who's ready?
Well after my disapointment over the content that is available, I've sent the following to BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. I'll await their response, might be worth others doing likewise.
Yesterday Virgin Media launched a new service (Multi Room Streaming) which allows the programmes that have been recorded on one set-top box to be watched within the same house via another set-top box on my home network.
At present none of the programmes broadcast by yourselves that I have recorded are permitted to be viewed, these restrictions are imposed on Virgin Media by the content providers (yourselves) can you let me know whether you have any intention to allow this in the near future? Calum

Well done Calum! I cannot believe these main channels are missing. They don't even appear in the guide on my iPad.

Just to re-assure you, we will be adding more channels to Multi-room streaming in the coming weeks and as soon as we have the details we'll publish them here.

Re: Multiroom streaming ... who's ready?
Good news that MRS is up and running but I'm also disappointed by the channel choice. Things can only get better I guess.
I must admit their web page design leaves a lot to be desired. It is almost as if they are embarrassed by the current channel choice by tucking it away in small text at the bottom. I also noticed in the 'How to use it' tab the screen shots show the user streaming CSI recorded on Sky Living which is not on the list. Schoolboy Error!

Your settings are wrong. Change the guide so it is showing all All Channels rather than Streaming Channels.

Nope, no settings to get wrong. We're discussing Multi Room Streaming on this thread (Tivo to Tivo on the same home network) not the TV Anywhere App/website. Virgin Media launched two new services yesterday.

Wrong thread then; this is about MRS. There does seem to be some confusion about the two on several threads though

Would the Christmas freeze really affect adding new channels to MRS? I'd be a little surprised if it did, but don't know for sure.

I'd expect so. Exceptions can be made, but generally only for time-critical things, such as PPV events, and red button applications related to specific programmes. Even minor changes can go wrong, and you don't want it happening when few support staff are about and viewing figures are high.
