Re: US Election 2012
Florida is SO CLOSE. Would be a diaster for Romney to lose it. Election over unless he pulls a surprise in Pennsylvania.

Florida is going to go to a recount at this rate. A margin of 20,000 votes will be challenged instantly.

Romney goes ahead in Florida. It does look like he has survived a scare here.

Pennsylvania is going to be called for Obama. Florida will decide this election if it falls for Obama. (it probably wont).

Yup. Florida would win it near enough. It also leaves Romney without many other paths if he loses Ohio.

I don't think Florida will be decided tonight. Come on Ohio!

Re: US Election 2012
Seriously, unless one of them pulls away then we need the election to be decided without Florida. If the result ends up hinging on it then it will be 2000 again. All the voting machine issues will come up, people with provisional ballots and so on.

Re: US Election 2012
Could be even longer than that if the Swing states are too close to call.

I think the election will be decided tonight. However if Romney wins Ohio and some other states then we might have to wait on a challenge for whatever happens in Florida. It's looking less likely though.

It's not looking likely. The networks have called Pennsylvania, Michigan and soon Wisconsin. Ohio will decide this election I think.

I think we'll know in a few hours.

Re: US Election 2012
Sky News just said Romney could take both Ohio and Florida and still be defeated if Obama takes the prediction states and 1 to close to call state ?

Yeah. If Obama takes Colorado, New Hampshire, Nevada, Iowa and Wisconsin.
It would look like this: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...OR_3,WA_1,CA_1

Wisconsin and Nevada are probably going to Obama. The rest are tossups.

I think the writings on the wall here....

New Hampshire for Obama. tick tok, tick tok, tick tok...
Now. If Ohio goes to Obama and one of Wisconsin or Iowa it's over. Florida? Over.

Yup. We need Ohio or Florida to be called for Obama. If they're called in the next hour (unlikely) then I think Obama will be projected as the winner come 4am.
