BBC programme missing from CatchUp
I've posted the same over in the VM Community Forum and reported via Mumbai CS, but incase any of the OD techies lurk in here...
Last week's episode of Watchdog (BBC1, Wednesday 8pm) is missing from CatchUp OD. Usually the signed repeat and "normal" show are both carried, both are available online but only last week's repeat is on OD.
I could watch this online, but would rather use CatchUp if possible....
Thanks

Re: BBC programme missing from CatchUp
Think this might have been removed due to reasons unknown. This does happen quite a lot.

Re: BBC programme missing from CatchUp
Sometimes they seem to wait until after the final initial showing of a programme. The deaf-signed version of last Wednesday's edition is due to be shown tonight @1:45am. That will probably be available tomorrow on Catchup if you miss it.

Re: BBC programme missing from CatchUp
Thanks for replies, especially essjay.
I did call CS twice, and spoke to offshore both times. They varied between useless and "ok" - eventually giving me a fault ref but not really grasping the problem or timelimit of Wednesday night.
Just called back now and got UK CS, turns out the fault ref didn't relate to the specific program, and it's probably too late now.
Well done Virgin CS, you've excelled yourself in "delivering the best customer service" again.

I cant imagine that you really thought that CS would be able to help. Its been stated here many times that Catch up / Red button / I Player is nothing to do with Virgin but then is anything that is broadcast anything to do with them

You're quite right.
In fairness, to have problems with programs missing from CatchUp is rare, and normally sorted within 48hours of the original broadcast.
What annoys me is the painful process to report such problems, and the apparent lack of escalation within Virgin/broadcaster. Essjay mentioned the program in question is available in his region - that surely makes it a problem within the Virgin network and nothing to do with the broadcaster.
That VM can't resolve that problem *within their network* and their faults process has failed to deliver, that's what annoys me. But I've been here before and shouldn't be surprised.

Why do I expect "its not our fault" to be the reply - if you ever get one that is

Re: BBC programme missing from CatchUp
Missing again this week.. becoming a pattern now!
I've been given two separate brush-offs from 150, but support forum said it was a national fault.
Repeat to self... "Virgin aim to deliver the best customer service".

Well true. I tried 150 again yesterday afternoon to see where Virgin were with this "fault". They insisted a home visit was the only possible solution, so I'm going to rather enjoy seeing the tech's reaction...
