3 Customer Services.
Joined 3 the otherday and got the superb £6.90 Sim Only Plan, sim arrived yesterday morning and slotted it into my handset and was pleasantly surprised of a full signal. Tried the internet and it was a no go, thought it was settigns so messed around and no joy so left it.
Went out last night and noticed that the internet kicked in everywhere except my home area.
Phoned 3 and they were really good, i`d read so much bad press about their customer services but they were very accommodating. Anyway, was told someone from networks would ring me tomorrow (today) and they did, turns out i`m roaming on Orange when at home and after a few rejigs their end I had GPRS on my handset
Story is don`t believe everything you read I suppose, just really chuffed they fixed the problem and really did go out of their way.

Re: 3 Customer Services.
I suspect 3 are like any company. They have both good and bad customer service people. People often complain about Virgin here, but I've had the phone them on various occassions. Sometimes, the person on the other end of the phone has been awful, and seeming to follow a script (maybe they don't have a script as such, but I have, on a couple of occassions, been asked the same questions word for word and in the same order). Sometimes I have got a person that seems to want nothing more than to fix my problem.

I did ring Virgin the otherday about my Phone (Had it installed but it was a recycled number, let you guess what was happening). It seems they are not in India anymore, my problem was sorted swiftly and they changed it to a new number which hasn`t been circulated.
Maybe these big Companies are finally listening to it`s customers

Re: 3 Customer Services.
I've just moved to Three from O2, so it's good to hear from someone with a good experience!

Re: 3 Customer Services.
I had a shocking service with 3, paid £330 to finish my contract early!!!
which i paid on my credit card. and then they proceeded to take the same again via direct debit,
Worst customer service on earth!
Customer service sounds like your talking to a robot on the moon (in india) the connection was always so poor (100% script readers)..
if they offered me a phone for £2 a month i wouldn't go back, constant dropouts when i was driving on hands free on many occasions i would have to dial back 12 times or more
they may have moved there call centre but there still a awful network.

Re: 3 Customer Services.
So, I had a problem with my very first Three bill - I was being charged extra for "All You Can Eat Data" even though I'm on "The One Plan" (which includes it).
I think it may have been a screw up when the contract was set-up in the Apple Store... perhaps the guy there messed up and added AYCED as an add-on?
Or maybe Three's billing department screwed up?
Still, whatever the cause, it was annoying!
Rather than brave the offshore call centre, I contacted Three via Twitter ( @ThreeUKSupport)... and it was all fixed

Re: 3 Customer Services.
i've had nothing but good experience with 3, always. they always are very helpful and always understand them fully.
Most people complain because they don't like the accent, well they need to deal with it as it isn't as bad as some people make out, its always clear what they're saying.

Re: 3 Customer Services.
I used to have nothing but good experiences with 3 but personally I left while I was ahead and have heard nothing but horror stories from my friends and colleagues, mostly about being lied and mis-sold to and 3 refusing to cancel contracts which clearly shouldn't be there in the first place.

Re: 3 Customer Services.
I had a nightmare with Three. From no signal at all indoors in most places in Liverpool to them blocking loads of websites silently and forcing you to their own paid-for stuff. Which sounds bad, and is even worse when you visit a non-porn humour site and get forwarded to 3's own adult-pay site. Or check lottery results and you get to see their gambling site instead. So much for them doing it for the children!
Tech support were useless. I've always said VM's were always terrible but marginally better than Three, who set the benchmark for uselessness.
I eventually left, but getting the PAC was like pulling teeth. I had to endure an entire hour of India basically telling me a clunky LG phone was better than the newly released iPhone 3g and that O2's customer service was not good. Which is an amazing comment. Also they said they had no record of my complaints about the network being useless indoors and pretty much said I was lying.
So yeah, I'll never touch that shower again. Even if they do have the fastest 3G network :/

Re: 3 Customer Services.
They don't, not anymore. They oversubbed it VM style.
I think 3 might be one of those networks where it's great until something goes wrong.

Re: 3 Customer Services.
recently in my local town centre in London they were experiencing overloading on the internet, called them up they said they were aware of the issue but would still log my complaint to update me on the issue, with a month they had put 2 new masts up in the area, one next to the old one to cope with the load, all is well now.

Re: 3 Customer Services.
Impressive.
Though I think you'll find it's not 3 who put the mast up but MBNL, a joint venture between 3, Orange, and T-Mobile.
And it'll probably have a Virgin Media 1Gb connection.

apparently i read somewhere 3 were not happy with orange trying to take the "largest 3G network" badge since they said they had invested far more money into mbnl then tmobile did in the past.

Re: 3 Customer Services.
Well at the moment it's supposedly a 50/50 joint venture between 3 and EE meaning their investment is exactly the same...
