Re: digi tv

I'm guessing you referring to Freeview? If so Pick TV, Dave and Really are not scrambled and are free to air. You may find you have trouble receiving certain channels if you live in a weak signal area. They don't choose to give you a bad signal, there is usually a reason why you have a bad signal. This could be because of longer distance between you and the transmitter or obstacles such as trees, mountains, buildings etc.

Either way, there is normally a way in which you can improve your reception. What sort of set up do you have? E.G Indoor or External antenna, signal boosters, splitters etc?

Re: digi tv

I think the OP is trying to ask (in text speak) who decides what channels are available on freeview and why the reality channels are not available as freeview..

The answer is of course whoever owns the channels and if they wish to pay for a slot on freeview or if they want their own channels behind a pay-tv wall.. The TV licensing people has no say in the matter as to what channels wish to buy space on the freeview system so the fact they pay a TV licence is irrelevant.

To add to this, if you receive from a relay transmitter, the majority of these only provide the Public Service channels, and not the commercial mux that carry the quoted channels.

Hey, no need to apologise. We all need a good moan or rant occasionally.

Maybe if you explain what your problem is and what service you are on, Freeveiw?, maybe someone can help. We do have members who seem to know quite a bit about digital TV.
