Are there any restrictions on where you can have a second cable box installed?

I'm thinking about getting a second cable box (in fact I have been thinking about it for sometime) but I want the second box put the back room upstairs which would require the cable going round the outside of the building and coming in upstairs through the outside wall. Will Virgin Media do this when they do the installation?

I'm basically thinking of upgrading to the VIP package.

Re: Are there any restrictions on where you can have a second cable box installed?

When I got TiVo they moved my v+ upstairs which involved a new cable going around and then up the outside of the house and then in and through two rooms before it arrived where it needed to be. The first engineer put it in the too difficult box and actually left the job unfinished so I had to get another one out who did it, but this has become a very long way of saying yes, they should be able to put your second box wherever you want it.

I've actually got a second box in the house next door where my daughter lives. VM were quite happy to do that
