I'm not too sure, I don't use it too often, and normally via the app. If I search on google and select the normal YouTube it automatically goes to the mobile version which has the square button to go to the TV option. Sorry I can't be more help. If I could work out how to attach a photo of the screen I could post what I get.

Thread title amended as it’s not just for Android devices.

New YouTube app for iPhone launched http://youtube-global.blogspot.co.uk...-for-your.html so wondering if this included the right bits for the YouTube app paring?

The YouTube app on TiVo pairs very well with my iPhone / iPad I rarely ever used the YouTube app on my TiVo prior to pairing. The remote made it at best very painful, let's face it it was ****. Now it's a brand new channel with extraordiry amounts of content.
How to connect:
1. Open YouTube app on TiVo and scroll down to MY YOUTUBE and then Pair (you will be given a nine digit code).
2. I then open on my iphone / ipad
http://m.youtube.com/#/menugrid
(I have bookmarked this URL as it takes me where I need to be directly) then open Add TV put in the code and you're up and running.
YouTube will never be the same again!
Another URL for YouTube that I like =
http://www.youtube.com/movies?fl=f&pt=fm
(gained that URL from an OP can't remember where but I'm grateful all the same).

Looking at the first post the OP has stated that on Android there is a separate remote app so I guess the native app doesn't have it built in.

Actually, it does - but only if you are on Android 4 or above (or have the table specific Honeycomb). For those versions below you have to use the remote app (or the website as those on iOS do)

That's the cool thing about it - no it doesn't.

Android Froyo and Gingerbread can now also get the newer app UI with the extra TV options http://techcrunch.com/2012/09/26/you...bread-devices/

Re: Control TiVo YouTube using a smartphone or tablet
Just thought I'd add that YouTube have now added this option to the website - so you can now do it from a computer
Just go here http://www.youtube.com/pair

Re: Control TiVo YouTube using a smartphone or tablet
I love the VM anywhere app on my iphone to set programmes. When I was in Crete this year I wanted to set up a series link for Under the Dome the realised VM don't support Apple very well in this department and my phone has limited use abroad if any.
