do we have any hard info about
1. whether & which 'live' channels will be broadcast
2. Whether Skysports will be broadcast

Screenshots I've seen appear to reveal 7 of the channels:
BBC 1
BBC 2
ITV
Channel 4
Channel 5
BBC 3
BBC 4
I'm guessing the channels are going to be the core Freeview stations minus all +1 variants, all SKY owned channels and all channels not carried by Virgin such as Al Jazeera and the Food Network. Once you take away all of the above you're pretty much left with 30 channels.
1. BBC 1
2. BBC 2
3. ITV
4. Channel 4
5. Channel 5
6. ITV 2
7. BBC Three
8. BBC Four
9. ITV 3
10. Yesterday
11. More 4
12. Dave
13. ITV 4
14. E4
15. Film 4
16. 5 USA
17. 5*
18. Quest
19. 4/7
20. 4 Music
21. Viva
22. BBC News
23. BBC Parliament
24. Really
25. CBeebies
26. CITV
27. ITV HD
28. 4 HD
29. BBC HD
30. BBC One HD
If I'm getting this service included in my package at no extra cost then great! It's not as good as SKY Go however it's miles better than what I have at the moment which is nothing. I must admit TV on the go is not a big selling point for me personally. In fact it's a service I'll probably hardly use however it adds more value to my subscription, which is something nobody can argue with.

If that is the case Chad then it looks like yet again that we will be getting a inferior version of what Sky currently offer with no Sky Sports or Movies to boot.

VM have no bargaining chips there is no content they can withhold to even the playing field in this regards they will always be playing second fiddle.

Agreed, I'm just hoping that it also means that multiroom streaming is close, which will be really useful to me.

I agree however it's better than what Talk Talk, BT Vision, Smallworld Cable, Youview and Freesat offer their customers. Virgin have to be applauded for that.
Remember we will have access to TV on demand and catch up tv too. We will also be able to access records on our TiVo boxes too. The interesting thing will be can we watch something on the go whilst it's recording? So if I'm recording Man Utd Vs. Man City on SKY Sports can I watch the recording as it's happening. Sure it still won't be live but I'll maybe only 10 or 15 seconds behind the live broadcast.
The original article in What HiFi did suggest the channels you can access depend on your package. So maybe 30 channels are the basic package and people on XL will be able to watch the likes of ESPN and the Discovery Channel.
Away to watch the Scotland game. C'mon Scotland!!!!!

Until Virgin release full details of Virgin Anywhere, only Virgin know for sure what will be included.

Re: Virgin TV Anywhere arriving in Autumn 2012
Good point Devil , I'm sure with 30 channels announced there will be a decent choice of pay TV channels. My parents have an iPad so looking forward to trying this.

To be fair, Sky Sports and Movies content (along with a fair bit more) is available via www.virginmedia.com/player, which looks like it will be relaunching as part of TV Anywhere

Currently On Demand, but by what has been said within the What HiFi and other articles, it will also include live TV when TV Anywhere comes along

Re: Virgin TV Anywhere arriving in Autumn 2012
CBS (can't remember which) and True Entertainment is all I can remember from the Virgin Player iPad Beta screenshot from like a year ago.
I would also imagine they got a deal for this when they sold UKTV so there is 10 channels just from them.

It will be Eurosport, this is already available on many smart TV's, Blu-ray players and Hand held unit's, if you add this to iplayer and the like we arn't going to be able to access much more than a lot of us already can.
