The rumour is (probably untrue) that he's coming back to us...

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Arsenal offered £75,000 a week. It's been turned down by Walcott's agents who are demanding £100,000 and seem to have confidence Man City or Liverpool will cough up. (Liverpool really will have gone off the deep end if they offer £100,000 give their lack of Champions League football and gate receipts. Madness).

Tottenham are close to signing Dembele from Fulham. An excellent signing if it happens.

mismanagement has hampered a lot of things at Arsenal including Theo. he'll be off for a pretty big fee i suspect.. may be. i just hope its sorted sooner rather than later!

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Does anyone even believe Theo Walcott is that good of a player? I'm with the media and a majority of supporters when they say all he has his pace and not a footballing brain. I am here to be proved wrong, but I don't feel he's worth 100K and a 12 - 20M transfer fee. He has shown moments of brilliance vs Barcelona, Liverpool and for England vs Croatia but he has disappointed me overall.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
We have signed Zambian Emmanuel Mayuka, star of the African Cup Of Nations.
LINKY
We seem to have rather a large number of forwards....
There is a rumour that Lambert could be going to Villa.

Of course he isn't worth 100k but that doesn't seem anything to do with it anymore. Players wages are still sky rocketing out of proportion to the money coming into the clubs. It won't, it can't, go on like this. Football is going to enter a crisis soon. Money is a finite resource.

Anyone a fan of Scrubs?
See that episode in the final series when Dr Cox does a backflip when he finds out JD is leaving? I really want to do that right now - I've just heard from a very reliable source that Donkey will sign for Fiorentina within 24 hours

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Walcott is still in 'discussions' with Arsenal. Screw him. Do what we did with Song, you don't play games with Wenger, you pull a stunt like this then you get shipped out. "I want more than £75,000 or I am off to Liverpool". Go then.

agreed. the payroll is screwed as it is, putting him on 100k will just inflate the screwed payroll more than it already is.

But the problem with that stance is at the end of the day you lose your best players to your rivals thus basically becoming more of a selling club despite being the club where the player made his name to start off with.

The alternative is to spend your way to bankruptcy. It's not a 'stance', it's a reality that Walcott isn't worth 100k a week and Arsenal have to manage their budget.

Well with the top 6 or 7 club English clubs l just cannot see that happening as the Premier League has just signed a £3 billion TV contract plus there are the riches of Champions league football as well and yes maybe Walcott is not worth 100k a week but the reality is the other big clubs will pay that without hesitation thus Arsenal lose another good player because these refuse to pay the going rate for these type of players.
