Well according to Richard Branson and Usain Bolt,I should get my upgrade by the end of August.
Can I assume I will be on 120mb by next Saturday?

Re: Speed Upgrade
Nope, 100mbit is seperate and we received a price reduction to effectively knock us down to 50mbit while all the 50mbit users get doubled to 100mbit. I noticed when this happened because my modem changed channels for the first time in donkeys years. The 120mbit upgrades are seperate and I dont think they'll happen until the doubling rollout is complete and all the 50s are 100.

Re: Speed Upgrade
120mb starts from September but first to the areas where 100mb upgrade is completed fully

Re: Speed Upgrade
we'll see. For the sake of 20mbit you would think they would bang a new config file down to everyone in one go and get it over and done with but if they choose to roll it out by area it is going to take them till next summer (and with no schedule they can do whatever they want whenever they want )

Re: Speed Upgrade
Although I recieved the price reduction,I've certainly not been knocked down to 50mb. My speeds have not changed averaging 93mb.

He meant the price is knocked down to the 50Mb price not the speed

Re: Speed Upgrade
I think the 120mb rollout co-incides with the upstream rollout, i.e. when upstream gets doubled, that area will get the 120mb config
of course thats just one of the many theories knocking about

Re: Speed Upgrade
that's a good idea. It will be nice to go straight to 120/12 and get it all over and done with. I can't wait to do a speed test, I am half tempted to sign up to the VM community forum and post a screen dump:
"oh btw, my vmng300 is going 33% faster than you said it would. Quite a huge margin of error don't you think?"

when i rang direct the 100mb team with a UK number (instead of india) for an older issue i asked when my upload will be coming as well (my upgrade was done by end of June and i told them i am aware that upload will follow some time later but if could tell me estimate time)
After asked this they put me on hold for little time and when coming back they answered "seems the fully 10 & 12 mb will be done in one go together with the 120 upgrade"
I reckon they thread differently each area ... example maybe where 120 will be done by next year to give before that time the 100/10 config so will not be complains but that was not told over the phone but is my opinion
Lucky for my area, the checker says come back and check again after September
I understand no dates given and can be any time but at least seems will be from the first ones hopefully
